Jennifer Burto, M.A., BCBA, LBA
Jennifer Burto joined The Aurora Behavior Clinic in February 2022 as a Senior BCBA, shortly after moving into the Director position in October 2022. Ms. Burto studied Elementary Education as an undergrad and earned her B.A. in Elementary Education from Florida Atlantic University. She began her career as a certified teacher in the public school system of Florida, teaching for 8-years before pursuing the field of ABA. Ms. Burto graduated with a M.A. in Applied Behavior Analysis from Florida Institute of Technology and has over 4 years of experience providing Applied Behavior Analysis (ABA) services in public school and clinical settings.
Jennifer is licensed by the state of Virginia’s Board of Medicine and certified by the Behavior Analyst Certification Board. She is passionate about Early Intervention, functional communication, supporting families through their ABA journey, and supporting staff to give the best quality of services to our clients.

Jaime McIntyre, M.Ed., BCBA, LBA
Jaime McIntyre is ABC’s Senior Board Certified Behavior Analyst (BCBA) and Training Specialist. She earned a Bachelor’s degree in Elementary Education from George Mason University in 2015. She later pursued a Master’s degree at George Mason University for Special Education and completed a certificate in Applied Behavior Analysis (ABA) in 2019. Jaime has been working in the ABA field for over 7 years. She has experience in a variety of settings including in-home, the Aurora School, and the Aurora Behavior Clinic. Jaime passed her boards and became a BCBA in September 2021.
Jaime believes that Caregiver Training is vital to the success of the client. She is passionate on inspiring others in this field by educating on the principles of ABA.

Carina Peter, M.Ed., BCBA, LBA
Carina Peter holds a bachelor’s degree in psychology from Virginia Commonwealth University. While living in Richmond, she discovered the field of Applied Behavior Analysis during her first job out of college working at a children’s hospital in New Kent Virginia. Carina then went on to work at the Virginia Institute of Autism in Charlottesville Virginia. Eager to further her work experience, Carina went on to work for a company in Richmond, Virginia that focused on providing in-home services for individuals with developmental disabilities. In the summer of 2017, Carina moved back to her hometown in Northern Virginia where she discovered The Arc of Loudoun. Given her experience working in the field, she was excited to discover the Aurora School. Being passionate about helping individuals with special needs, she decided to pursue her graduate degree in Special Education with a graduate certificate in Applied Behavior Analysis with George Mason University. Carina graduated from the program in August of 2020 and transitioned to the Aurora Behavior Clinic the same summer. Carina is now working as a senior BCBA for the Aurora Behavior Clinic as well as assuming the role as a coordinator for ABC’s Summer Camp Program. Carina loves working with a range of clients and families and helping them reach different milestones.

Aubrey Coutu, MSOT, OTR/L
Aubrey is our Lead Clinical Occupational Therapist! She is from New England originally and moved to Northern VA in 2020! Aubrey graduated from Springfield College in Massachusetts with her Bachelor of Health Science in 2018 and again with her Master of Science in Occupational Therapy in 2019. She has been in the field for 3 years and has experience in both pediatrics and geriatrics. Aubrey has worked at Skilled Nursing Facilities, Inpatient Rehabilitation Hospitals and Pediatric Outpatient Clinics, working closely with other disciplines and a variety of diagnoses throughout the years. She is currently on the road to becoming a Certified Autism Spectrum Disorder Clinical Specialist, as she gains more knowledge in working with children with ASD through each course.
She has always had a passion for working with children ever since her early days working in daycares and developing additional clinical experience in early intervention and pediatric clinics in college. As a member of the American Occupational Therapy Association (AOTA), Aubrey has attended conferences and participated in professional development opportunities such as guest lectures and hands-on activities to increase her knowledge of the ever-growing field.
Throughout her time at the Aurora Behavior Clinic, Aubrey has co-founded two programs. She has begun the Feeding Therapy Program and the Play and Say Group, alongside our speech therapist! Aubrey is always looking for ways to grow our clinic, which is evident in these early advances she has made!

Michelle Weddle, OTD, OTR/L
Michelle is an Occupational Therapist at ABC! She is from Maryland originally but is excited to begin working in the area and eventually move to Leesburg in November! Michelle graduated from Messiah University in Pennsylvania with her Bachelor’s degree in Athletic Training in 2019 and earned her Doctor of Occupational Therapy in 2022 from Mary Baldwin University. She is a recent graduate, but Michelle has had experience in Inpatient Rehabilitation, Inpatient Psychiatric care, Acute Care Hospitals, Schools and Pediatric Outpatient Clinics, working closely with other disciplines and a variety of diagnoses throughout the years.
She has always had a passion for working with children ever since her early days interning as a special education instructor assistant, participating in Unified sports in high school, and being an AT for elementary through high school age children and adolescents. As a member of the American Occupational Therapy Association (AOTA) and Virginia Occupational Therapy Association (VOTA), Michelle has attended conferences and participated in professional development opportunities such as guest lectures and hands-on activities to increase her knowledge of the ever-growing field.
